Have you ever juiced a cabbage? While it might not sound that great tasting, green cabbage juice is quite good for you. It’s an excellent source of vitamins C, K, and B6 as well at potassium, magnesium, and other minerals.
There are many reasons you may want to drink cabbage juice. Cabbage is anti inflammatory and promotes healthy digestion and can be a natural remedy for acid reflux and gerd. It’s also said to help detoxify the body and help lower your risk of certain types of cancer. Some people consume and use cabbage for beautiful skin. Others use it for headache relief. There are many different types of cabbage, in many colors and flavors, so you can experiment to find your favorite.
Below is a good starter recipe for introducing cabbage into your juice. It is light and slightly sweet. Make it bolder by adding more greens.
Delightful Green Juice
1/4 green cabbage
Wash fruits and vegetables. Cut to the size that will fit in your juicer. Push the raw foods through juicer machine. Add ice and enjoy. Makes approx 12 oz juice.
